The Simple Present (form):



Read the sentences and check the affirmative and negative forms of the Simple Present:

a) I speak English and Portuguese, but I do not (don't) speak Spanish.

Simple Present affirmative: I speak
Simple Present negative: I do not speak / I don't speak

b) Karen speaks Portuguese. She does not (doesn't) speak English.

Simple Present affirmative 3rd person singular (he she it): Karen (she) speaks
Simpre Present negative 3rd persons singular: (he she it): She does not (doesn't) speak

Exercise 1) Complete the conversations using the dimple present:

a) A: My teacher _______ (give) too much homework.
    B: Really? My teacher _________ (give/ not) any.

b) A: Why does Rose watch me so much? She __________ (watch) everything that I ______          (do) and it __________ (make) me feel very unconfortable.
